PAC 30 has been published by the Pike Anglers Club of Great Britain to celebrate its 30 years of existence. A hardback publication of 227 pages in full colour, this is a collection of memories and stories from the countries leading pike anglers. Every one is different and inspiring in its own way. I would like to say that I have read it from cover to cover but it is just too good to rush through in this way. Each chapter needs to be savoured and read thoroughly in order to get the best from it and I am doing this one chapter at a time. Only half way through, I can assure you that it is crammed with pike fishings recent history and although it is not a technical book, you cannot help but glean vital information about tactics and methods to use on every conceivable type of water. This one I did read quickly from cover to cover! Its authors Eddie Turner and Jason Davies have kept many of their recent mega catches of pike quiet and teased us with what might be revealed in this book so much that mad keen pike anglers like myself just couldn't wait to see what they had been up to. I wont spoil it and give it all away but without a doubt there are catches revealed that will stagger even the most experienced pike anglers today. The book is more than just that though, it gives an important insight into what makes such dedicated and obsessive pike anglers tick and their lines of thinking while tracking down these rare monster pike.
