At midnight on June 16th, I was in position with my worm baits on a lake
where the carp anglers regularly complained of being bitten off. Just after 1
am I struck the gentlest of bites. From the aggressive fight from this 40 inch
long eel, it was a wonder that I wasn't bitten of too. I think it was only the
fact that it was lip hooked saved my 10 lb mono from being cut through.
