Mick and his fishing buddy Matt Hayes have become household names
in angling TV shows and have now made five series together totaling no
less than seventy five programs. Matt and Mick have recently completed
filming their latest series which is called
THE GREATER ROD RACE.
Its all about a fishing mission from the West coast of Ireland to the East
coast of England!  For every mile they travel they have to catch a pound
of fish!

RECORD BREAKING FISH

Record Breaking Fish is  still shown regularly on
the Discovery Real Time channel. Mick and Matt
go in search of specimen fish combining their
tactical approach with fun and banter. Pictured
here is Mick's monster 44 lb carp caught at the
Monument fishery in programme 1. On a visit to
the fishery in June 2005, Mick was allowed to
name this fish which still held the fishery record
at the time.   It's now known as  THE DUKE !

DID YOU KNOW THAT...........

Matt and Mick first fished together when they met at a pike fishing event at Ringstead Grange in 1994.  

Matt and Mick were once consultants together at Shimano UK.

Mick and Matt are both 'Brummies', Mick from the southside and Matt from the northside.

Micks former career was in engineering whilst Matts was in marketing.
